Job summary

San Carlo Liverpool is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen. You will work in your assigned section (grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry) and contribute to maintaining quality standards while supporting team collaboration.

We value a proactive, independent worker who can manage multiple tasks, maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety and allergen policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry
• Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants
• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy
• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times
