Bottega in Manchester is hiring a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. You will prepare and cook assigned sections such as grill, pasta, meat, or pastry, and ensure dishes meet recipes and quality standards. You will oversee your section, guide junior staff, keep a clean station, and collaborate with management to deliver timely service.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry
• Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants
• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy
• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times
