Job summary

Hotel Indigo K West Shepherd's Bush is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead by example and deliver dishes that reflect the neighbourhood’s bold flavours. You’ll work as part of our pre-opening team, helping to set standards and train others.

You’ll be confident on the stove, familiar with sections like larder and sauce, and flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Annual salary is £31,400 with great staff benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen at Demi CDP or CDP level.
• Knowledge of various sections (e.g. larder, sauce, garnish, pastry).
• Passion for cooking, learning and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Own your section: From mise-en-place to final plating, deliver quality, consistency, and creativity during each service.
• Lead and support: Mentor Commis and Demi Chefs, ensuring smooth communication, clean stations, and high morale.
• Maintain high standards: Follow recipes and presentation specs, while meeting food hygiene and safety standards every step of the way.
• Manage your resources: Monitor stock levels, place accurate orders, manage portion control, and reduce food waste.
• Share ideas: Contribute to menu development, daily specials, and plating presentations, your voice matters here.
• Stay proactive: Report faults, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to keep operations running seamlessly.
