Qualifications

• Proven experience as Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards; ensure food safety at all times.
• Station Management – oversee production of dishes at your station and keep area clean and stocked.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality, presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with colleagues and assist where needed.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen clean and equipment in good working order.
