Job summary

The Celtic Manor Resort is seeking a Chef de Partie for The Grill at the iconic Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. You will lead your own section, work with quality ingredients and support a brigade to deliver exceptional food and service each day.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or 1 year’s experience as a Chef de Partie.
• Experience working within a quality hotel, resort or busy restaurant environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen best practice.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for your allocated section and ensure it is fully prepared for service.
• Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards, consistently delivering quality and attention to detail.
• Support the team in delivering an outstanding dining experience for every guest.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in line with company procedures.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and the correct storage of food deliveries.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety.
• Support, guide and encourage junior members of the team.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
