The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, NP18 1HQ, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie for The Grill Kitchen. This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week at £12.92 per hour, plus service charge and benefits.

Join a busy, high‑quality kitchen and help deliver outstanding dishes and guest experiences across the day. Our ideal hero will have NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent, 1 year in a 4- or 5-star setting (or 2 years as a Commis Chef), Food Hygiene Level 2, and a passion for fresh

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
• Experience in a 4/5-star hotel or high-volume restaurant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to department standards with consistent quality.
• Support delivery of varied menu featuring grills, seafood, and seasonal specials.
• Assist day-to-day running of your section to keep workspace clean and efficient.
• Check, store, and rotate deliveries properly.
• Work with the kitchen team to maintain exceptional food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Minimise waste and support sustainability goals while adhering to safety procedures.

Working within this busy anddynamic kitchen, you'll help deliver exceptional dishes and memorable diningexperiences for guests throughout the day.

Our Ideal Hero Will Have

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery ourequivalent qualification
• A minimum of 1 year's experience within a4 or 5-star hotel, high-volume restaurant, or similar quality diningenvironment, or at least 2 years' experience as a Commis Chef
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
• A passion for fresh ingredients anddelivering consistently high culinary standards
