allpay Limited is looking for an energetic chef to join the Sidings First Class café carriage in Hereford. This role involves cooking to order using fresh produce and aims to provide a beneficial work-life balance. Our restaurant operates an a la carte brunch menu, with working hours between 9am – 4pm, 7 days a week, offering flexible rotas.

About The Role

Due to the continuing popularity of the Sidings First Class café carriage we are looking to recruit an energetic chef that loves to cook with the best ingredients. We offer an a la carte brunch style menu opening between 9am – 4pm, 7 days per week. There is flexibility with rotas for 2 days off per week and with occasional evening work for our special events. The right candidate will be confident in cooking to order and be excited to use fresh produce from our very own kitchen garden.

• Setting up the kitchen prior to opening.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available.
• As food orders come into the kitchen start preparing the portions of the order in your section.
• Control and manage stock.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of the shift.
• Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
• Enforces strict health and hygiene standards.

About You

• Previous experience in a Commis or Chef de Partie role.
