Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Chef De Partie for Sonning Gardens Care Home in Reading. You will support head chefs with preparing nutritious meals for residents, help develop the menu, and ensure portions meet high standards.

You'll have a catering qualification (City & Guilds 706/1/706/2 or NVQ or equivalent), a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and at least 1 year of catering experience. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year catering experience.

Responsibilities

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and address special dietary needs.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed by Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control to minimise waste.
• Working with Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu regularly.
