Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Chef De Partie for Bagshot Gardens Care Home in Bagshot. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a team delivering nutritionally balanced meals. DBS disclosure check will be funded by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

The ideal candidate holds a catering qualification, a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and at least one year of catering experience, with flexibility to cover various duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality culinary services for residents.
• Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead a culinary team under the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals.
• Participate in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and dietary needs.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed by the Head Chef.
• Support cost-effective stock control to minimise waste and ensure systems are in place.
• Assist in developing and reviewing menu offerings with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
