Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Cliveden Manor Care Home in Cliveden is seeking a Chef de Partie to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, delivering a nutritionally balanced, high-quality culinary service for residents.

The role includes meetings with residents and department heads, menu development, cost-aware stock control, and flexible coverage of responsibilities to meet dietary needs. Shifts run 07:00–15:30 or 11:00–19:30, with DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
• Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
