Job summary

The Duke of Wellington on Portobello Road in Notting Hill is seeking an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will work under the Head Chef to prepare fresh, premium meals and support service across breakfast, lunch, and dining room orders.

We look for a hands-on chef with a passion for quality, who collaborates well with front of house and is eager to learn and contribute to new dishes and daily specials.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Commis Chef seeking next step.
• Passion for fresh, high-quality food in a welcoming environment.
• Hands-on, proactive chef with strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn, design and deliver new dishes with Head Chef.
• Good planning and organisational skills for GP and labour control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes across service periods.
• Support Head Chef and kitchen team in menu development and daily specials.
• Maintain consistent plating, portion control and presentation.
• Collaborate with front of house to drive guest satisfaction and sales.
• Demonstrate organisational skills to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
