Job summary

The Chancery Rosewood is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. You will own a kitchen section, ensuring precise preparation and presentation while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Collaborate with Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs to foster growth and consistently deliver exceptional dishes. In this role you will manage service timing, quality control, and presentation, working across the hotel to uphold our Sense of Place philosophy.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and HACCP practices.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to train and develop junior chefs, guiding team performance.
• Strong teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Own your kitchen section and keep it fully prepared and operating efficiently during service.
• Lead your section, manage timing, quality control, and presentation for consistent results.
• Prepare and deliver dishes following recipes, sheets, and standards.
• Train and supervise Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs to apply techniques and standards.

THE TEAM

At The Chancery Rosewood, our culinary team works collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service. As Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your kitchen section while working closely with the Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef and wider culinary team. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to the success of the wider hotel.

YOUR ROLE

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the associate restaurant kitchen. You will ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, maintain exceptional hygiene and safety practices, and support the growth and development of Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs within the team.

Working with colleagues across the hotel, you will contribute to Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ commitment to excellence, innovation and its “Sense of Place” philosophy.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Take ownership of our associate restaurant kitchen, ensuring it is fully prepared, organised and operating efficiently before and throughout service.
• Lead your section during service, coordinating timing, quality control and presentation standards to deliver a consistent associate experience.
• Prepare and deliver dishes with precision, following recipes, technical sheets and presentation standards at all times.
• Train, supervise and support the development of Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, ensuring culinary techniques and operating standards are consistently applied.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu allergens and apply all relevant food hygiene, food safety and allergen requirements.
• Uphold HACCP, health and safety, COSHH and hotel procedures, maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the kitchen, contributing to a positive team culture and supporting operational success through a proactive and flexible approach.
