Job summary

The Lighter is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join a bustling kitchen on the Quayside in Topsham. This hands-on role requires running a section, maintaining high standards, and delivering dishes to spec.

We offer a 5 days on, 2 days off pattern with fixed hours, a share of tips, and a benefits package. 60% off meals on shift, uniform provided, and ongoing training opportunities are included.

Chef, Premium Pub - £14.00 per hour + Tips + 60% off meals

Fabulous Pub - On the Quayside Part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of iconic pubs and located in the historic Saxon town of Topsham on the banks of the Exe Estuary, the Lighter is a picturesque example of a friendly, classic English pub. Great for locals and visitors alike with flagstone floors, a log burner and large terrace right on Topsham Quay the pub is busy all year peaking in the summer months. The Lighter is well positioned close to all amenities and not far from Exeter.

We’re growing our kitchen team and looking for an experienced CDP, Section Chef or Line Chef to jump in and help us keep the good stuff coming. If you love great food, enjoy a buzzing service, and want to work with a genuinely supportive crew, this could be your next spot.
