Colonial Group is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll take responsibility for your section, preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while ensuring presentation, food hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This part-time role requires resilience under pressure, pride in delivering great food, and the ability to support and guide junior staff during service.

Qualifikationen

• Prev. experience as Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen
• Passion for high-quality food and maintaining standards
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety practices
• Ability to manage your section during busy service
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Flexible, reliable, and a team player

Aufgaben

• Take responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes within your section
• Follow menus, recipes, portion control and presentation standards
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality throughout service
• Ensure excellent food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness standards
• Keep your section, equipment and work areas clean, organised and ready for service
• Support stock rotation, stock control and reduction of food waste
• Work closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Support and guide junior members of the kitchen team where required

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

You’ll take responsibility for your section of the kitchen, preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while ensuring consistently excellent standards of presentation, food hygiene and cleanliness.

This is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced Chef who works well under pressure, takes pride in delivering great food and enjoys being part of a busy kitchen team.

This is a part‑time, permanent role working 32 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays as required.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes within your section
• Follow menus, recipes, portion control and presentation standards
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality throughout service
• Ensure excellent food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
• Keep your section, equipment and work areas clean, organised and ready for service
• Support stock rotation, stock control and the reduction of food waste
• Work closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Support and guide junior members of the kitchen team where required

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
• A passion for producing high-quality food and maintaining excellent standards
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and kitchen best practice
• The ability to confidently manage your section during busy service periods
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support junior colleagues
• Relevant food hygiene qualifications are desirable
