Job summary

Abel Heywood in Manchester is seeking a Chef de Partie to deliver high standards, work across stations, and support the brigade in preparing starters, mains and desserts for seasonal menus and daily specials.

You’ll help with food ordering, stock management and maintaining a 5-star rating, in a friendly, supportive environment. Previous experience in a fresh food setting is preferred, and progression from commis is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience at Chef de Partie level across multiple stations.
• Able to produce starters, mains and desserts to spec.
• Experience in a fresh food setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent food standards across seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Support Sous and Head Chef with ordering and stock management.
• Maintain a 5-star, high-quality dining experience.

What you’ll be doing as Chef de Partie?

Here at Hydes, food quality and looking after our people is key. As our Chef de Partie, you will enjoy delivering excellent food standards always, to deliver our seasonal menus and daily specials, in a friendly and supportive environment.

As a key member of the brigade, you will have an attention to detail, ensuring all dishes are prepared to spec, and have experience of all stations with the ability to produce a range of starters, mains and desserts. You will also support your Sous and Head Chef with food ordering, stock management, and maintaining a 5-star rating. You will have previous experience, preferably in a fresh food environment. You may also be a commis who is looking to progress.

Your Pub

'No Ordinary pub, no ordinary hotel, no ordinary food, no ordinary drinks'. Our unique pub and boutique hotel the Abel Heywood, situated in the northern quarter is a subtle mix of contemporary and traditional both within our drink and fresh food offering. The site holds fifteen boutique bedrooms on the top floor and a large dining area on the first floor.
