Qualifications

Job description

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: 17.00

Hours: 40 per week

A co-educational independent day school for 4-11 year olds in Balham, London, catering for about 500 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, and Hospitality & events at this location. This is a term-time-only contract working Monday to Friday. The school benefits from excellent transport links.

Position: Chef De Partie

We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious London locations.

You should have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

You will be enthusiastic about working with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcase opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of chefs to provide catering services for pupils and teachers.
  • Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and adhering to brand standards.
  • Maintain food standards and control wastage.
  • Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.
Required Skills:
  • Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of food cost and wastage basics.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred.
