Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking an experienced Regional Head Chef to lead and support kitchens across our luxury care homes in the UK. This roving role requires travel to homes, managing and developing a team, and delivering menus that are seasonal, delicious, cost-effective and compliant with dietary needs.

You’ll oversee kitchen operations, drive quality and consistency, and mentor Sous Chefs and Chefs de Partie while upholding Health & Safety standards and COSHH guidelines.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Catering Services is required.
• Supervisory kitchen experience leading a team.
• Awareness of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
• Full, clean driving licence is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a kitchen team across multiple homes.
• Ensure menus are seasonal, cost-effective and meet dietary needs.
• Travel to Signature homes as part of regional role.
• Travel to homes in Signature's portfolio as Regional Head Chef.

Your role at Signature

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to join Signature Senior Lifestyle in a roving capacity, providing leadership and support across our portfolio of luxury care homes.

What you will do

Travel Requirements -
As a Regional Head Chef, this position will require travel to homes in our portfolio.

The Head Chef is the heart and soul of our kitchen, in charge of creating a menu that offers our residents an unrivalled dining experience. You’ll help create and evolve the food offering across all areas of our community to produce the highest standards, ensuring food is delicious, seasonal and cost-effective. You’ll be confident devising dishes for special dietary requirements, whatever the expectations of our diners, while meeting all their nutritional needs.

You’ll also be leading a team, managing and developing a Sous Chef, Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs, helping them to grow and develop.

You’re a confident leader, well versed in how to manage a busy kitchen, with NVQ Level 3 in Catering Services. Supervisory experience, awareness of COSHH, working knowledge of Health & Safety and a full, clean driving licence are a big advantage.
