Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Sous Chef for a luxury care and nursing home in Reigate. You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring nutritious, restaurant-quality meals and mentoring the kitchen team.

With 5+ years of kitchen experience and a relevant NVQ, you’ll drive menu development and uphold COSHH and hygiene standards in a busy, 40-hour-week operation.

Qualifications

At least 5 years’ kitchen experience.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services.
Experience supervising a kitchen team and rostering.
Good COSHH understanding and safe kitchen practices.
Calm, organized leadership in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

Second in command to Head Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations.
Lead and develop Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
Collaborate with Head Chef to refresh menus.
Ensure every meal is nutritious and restaurant quality.

Your role at Signature

Use your experience and passion for amazing food, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Sous Chef. You'll take on an important role in a superbly-equipped kitchen at our luxury care and nursing home in Reigate.

What you will do

As Sous Chef you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our busy kitchen running smoothly. Second in command to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every meal that leaves the kitchen is nutritious and restaurant quality.

You’ll manage and develop the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef, sharing your experience and knowledge.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
