Job summary

Exeter Chiefs are seeking a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Sandy Park, home of the club.

You will help the head chef and sous chefs prepare and deliver all catering at Sandy Park Stadium, including conferences, banqueting and match days, taking overall responsibility for a section within the main kitchen and at function service points as required.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience as a commis chef or above.
• Basic food hygiene and NVQ Level 2.
• Professional, well presented and self-motivated.
• Good communication skills at all levels.
• Hard working and able to work under pressure and unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Make sure all food is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards.
• Oversee sections within the main kitchen and function service points.
• Keep tight stock control to achieve the expected GP% and work within budget.
• Follow all fire, health and safety and food safety regulations.
• Monitor the quality of products and service.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and senior management.

Key Details

• Location: Sandy Park, Exeter, Devon (must be able to commute or relocate before starting)
• Contract: Full time, fixed term
• Hours: 48 hours per week, five days out of seven, including weekends and bank holidays
• Salary: £31,000 – £32,000
