We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Kitchen Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, and leading a team of kitchen staff.
Job Duties:
- Requisitioning or purchasing and examining foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality.
- Planning menus, preparing, seasoning, and cooking foodstuffs, or overseeing their preparation and monitoring the quality of finished dishes.
- Supervising, organizing, and instructing kitchen staff and managing the entire kitchen or a specific area.
- Ensuring relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen.
- Planning and coordinating kitchen work, such as fetching, clearing, and cleaning equipment and utensils.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a professional chef.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
