Fleetwood Heights Care Home - 97 Rochdale Road - Greetland - Halifax - HX4 8HE

Salary: £12.50 per hour based on 35 hours per week

Working hours: 7.30am - 5.30pm

Fleetwood Heights is a Harbour Healthcare Home, 'Caring, fun and family-run!' The home is purpose-built and situated in the heart of the local community, close to bus routes. We foster a happy atmosphere that reflects our approach to residents’ happiness and wellbeing.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Chef/Cook to join our team, including some weekends. The ideal candidate will have culinary and management experience, responsible for kitchen functions such as ordering supplies, food preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, cleanliness, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
  1. Support in preparing, cooking, and serving meals and snacks aligned with residents’ preferences and dietary needs (e.g., diabetics, texture-modified foods, vegetarian).
  2. Manage stock and order supplies.
  3. Plan menus.
  4. Maintain food safety checks and records as per company standards.
  5. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  6. Follow health and safety protocols.
  7. Keep equipment and food service areas clean and well-maintained.
  8. Collaborate with the Activities Team for special events.
  9. Manage budgets.
  10. Oversee staff supervision and scheduling.
