Job Summary

This is a temporary chef role at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves working as a Bank Chef to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food and tailor menus around the residents.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to personalize the menus. You will be responsible for helping manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, and helping create a warm, efficient and fun environment. You will also be required to work within budget, complete regular audits, manage stock control, and assist in leading and motivating a team.
