Job summary

KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED in Astbury Meadow Garden Centre is seeking a Full Time Permanent Chef to join the team in our Restaurant. The role offers a 40-hour week over 5 days with weekend work and no evenings.

You will prepare fresh ingredients for our full menu, support all areas of food production, and maintain high hygiene standards under supervision of Head Chef/Restaurant Manager. The position provides a friendly team environment with generous staff discounts and paid Christmas/Boxing Day

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Understanding of menu preparation and standards.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients
• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Chef to join the team in our Restaurant in Astbury Meadow Garden Centre.

Our competitive rate of pay range is £13.27 per hour.

The hours for this role are 40 per week over 5 days. All positions include weekend working so flexibility is a must. However we have the added benefit of no evening work and no split shifts. Our Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day which means time with the family on these important days.

The Role

As a Chef, you will support all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen. You will work at part of a small team under the guidance of your Head Chef/Restuarant Manager and be responsible for the preparation of our fresh ingredients for our full menu range.

What you will be doing as a Chef?

• Prepare fresh ingredients


• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order


• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process


• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste


• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards


• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
