Job summary

Mitchells and Butlers is offering a full-time Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship, inviting you to train on the job while contributing to busy kitchen environments. The 15-month programme combines hands-on work with your training, leading to a nationally recognised qualification and a future role in running kitchen operations.

You will gain practical experience under qualified chefs, with a mentor, and benefit from Pay and progression opportunities including a substantial staff discount

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; apprenticeship taught on the job.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths (if GCSEs or equivalents are not already held).
• Regular reviews and coaching throughout the apprenticeship (every 12 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the kitchen team to ensure outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with stock rotation, prep and par process and daily tasks.
