Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc invites applicants to join a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship in a busy UK kitchen. The apprenticeship runs for 15 months and combines on-the-job training with mentoring and remote coaching.

You will work a full-time kitchen role under passionate chefs, gaining a nationally recognised qualification while helping run the kitchen to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• No experience required; we can teach you everything.
• Apprenticeship includes Production Chef Level 2 standard
• Full-time kitchen role under supervision with training

Responsibilities

• Have open communication with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standard.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Set up and close down the department including stock rotation and prep.
• Keep up to date with promotions and new products.
• Complete all training modules and learning tasks.
• Adhere to brand standards, licensing laws and company policies.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
