Sodexo invites an experienced chef to join the Ministry of Defence kitchen at Army HQ, Monxton Road, Andover. You will prepare, cook, and serve meals for military personnel in a fast-paced kitchen, upholding top food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Professional chef role in catering or hospitality.
• Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-focused environment.
• Experience in military or government catering.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards in line with EHO guidelines.
• Work with front-of-house to deliver outstanding service.
• Cook and serve meals to military personnel, ensuring quality daily.
• Oversee kitchen sanitation and best practices.
• Support high-profile events and functions showcasing culinary skills.
• Participate in bulk cooking to ensure consistency and quality.
