About The Role

Chef | Ty Bronllys School | Brecon | 37.5 hours a week | Permanent | £12.82 per hour | Term Time Only

A typical day in the life of a Chef at Orbis Care involves:

• Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen
• Storing, preparing, and serving food and beverages in accordance with all Food Handling and Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Daily cleaning of all kitchen areas following schedules and specifications, using appropriate equipment, chemicals, and work methods
• Maintaining documentation for efficiency and accuracy, such as food and equipment temperatures
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained and cleaned properly, reporting any issues promptly and keeping accurate records

To be successful in a career with Orbis, you will need:

• Catering Diploma (City & Guilds/BTEC)
• Level 3 Food Hygiene
• Significant line management experience
• Experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential
• A can-do attitude, resilience, and reliability
• Compassion and empathy
• Enthusiasm to promote independence and choice
• Flexibility in working hours
