The Willows Care Home in Hinckley is seeking a dedicated Chef to deliver nutritious, appealing meals for residents. You’ll own food preparation, ensure dietary needs are met, and uphold high hygiene and safety standards within a supportive team.

With a consistent shift pattern (7:30am–5:30pm), no late evenings, and ongoing training, this role offers a stable work-life balance and opportunities to contribute to menu planning and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen.

About The Willows Care Home

The Willows Care Home is a 31 bed care home located in the market town of Hinckley, Leicestershire. Providing residential and residential dementia care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care. Chef Contract

• £14.55-£15.15 per hour
• Contracted to 27 hours per week
• 7:30am- 5.30pm- 3 shifts per week, alternative weekends
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

No late evenings or split shifts, offering a consistent working pattern and genuine work life balance, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities.

Role Overview

As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.

You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service. With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in producing high quality food in a rewarding environment.
