Job summary

Edge Recruits is recruiting a Chef to join our client's café in Buckfastleigh. You will prepare and cook breakfasts, lunches and daily specials, while upholding high food hygiene and safety standards in a busy kitchen.

The role offers a competitive pay of £17.00 per hour, a Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern, and a temp-to-perm path with long-term prospects as the café continues to grow. You will work with front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in a café/restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for producing high-quality fresh food.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and daily specials to a high standard.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Managing food preparation and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation.
• Working collaboratively with the front of house and kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
