Job summary

PPM Recruitment in Aylesbury is seeking two dedicated Chefs to join our team. You will prepare, present, and serve meals to high standards while working in a busy kitchen environment.

The role requires previous chef or lead cook experience, excellent customer service, and flexible weekend availability. Training will be provided if needed, with a competitive hourly wage of £14.34 per hour (inc Holiday pay).

Job Title: Chef x2 required

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: £14.34 per hour (inc Hol pay)

Working hours are 9.00am - 5pm . Monday to friday

Candidate MUST have a valid DBS.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team in Aylesbury . The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cooking and as a Chef , ensuring that all food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including basic cooking tasks, assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Cooking: Perform cooking duties as required, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct temperature, taste, and presentation standards.
• Kitchen Assistance: Support the kitchen team by assisting with food prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
• Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a chef or a lead cook
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided if necessary).
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
