Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a professional Chef in High Wycombe to join a friendly kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and serve meals while upholding top quality standards and food safety compliance.

Immediate start is available. You will work Monday to Friday with a focus on delivering excellent service to customers and military personnel, maintaining strong kitchen hygiene and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Professional chef experience in catering or hospitality.
• Basic DBS required for this position.
• Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-focused environment.
• Passion for cooking and delivering top-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain highest standards of food safety and hygiene, complying with EHO guidelines.
• Work with front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service.
• Cook and serve meals to military personnel, maintaining high standards daily.
• Oversee kitchen sanitation and ensure best practices are followed.
• Take part in bulk cooking to ensure consistency and quality.

Role: Chef

Location: High Wycombe

Pay rate: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour dependent upon experience.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday.

Immediate start available.

About the Role:

You will be working as a part of a friendly kitchen team, serving our customers and bringing our recipes to life by producing the best food with some of the best local ingredients. With great skill and attention to detail you will be creating some of our most remarkable dishes.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with EHO guidelines
• Work alongside the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service
