Ford Mears is seeking a well presented, courteous funeral operative for a customer facing role in Fleet. You will support families during difficult times with empathy, and help prepare arrangements before the funeral and on the day itself to ensure a service of the highest standard.

The role involves some physical work and will include an out-of-hours rota for evenings and weekends; overtime is paid at enhanced rates. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Good level of formal education required.
• References will be obtained.
• Previous industry experience preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.

This is an opportunity to join a well established, medium sized privately owned funeral company.

The ideal candidate will be a well presented, courteous and respectful individual who will be a team player. The role will be customer facing, often dealing with clients coping in difficult times. You will offer an empathetic approach and a sympathetic understanding.

This role will offer a variety of responsibilities covering many different elements of the funeral industry to ensure the preparation beforehand, and on the day of the funeral, means we are able to provide a service of the highest standard.

There is some level of physical work involved in the role which will require the candidate to have a reasonable level of fitness.

The normal working hours are 8:30 – 17:0on but you will also be expected to join our ‘out of hours’ rota for evenings and weekends. These extra duties or any overtime is paid at enhanced rates.

The successful candidate will have suitable training for the role and in our company operating practices which are required to be maintained to the highest standard.
