Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer in the West Midlands to lead delivery of complex projects from concept to completion, mentor engineers and drive technical and commercial excellence.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, develop client relationships, ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes, and contribute to business development while guiding the future growth of the consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStructE or ICE.
• Significant post‑qualification experience delivering UK structural projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural projects through all stages from concept to completion.
• Manage project teams, resources, programmes and budgets.
• Build and maintain client, architect and contractor relationships.
• Provide technical leadership and review calculations, drawings and specs.
• Mentor engineers and technicians across levels.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, British Standards and CDM.
