Job summary

Airey Miller is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and grow its structural team, delivering a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial and public sector environments. This role blends hands-on technical design with leadership and client relationship management in a busy consultancy.

You will supervise engineers, prepare calculations and reports, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with MIStructE or MICE membership.
• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, assessments across new builds and refurbishments.
• Oversee inspections and defect investigations.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Mentor and develop engineers toward chartership.
• Manage workloads, budgets, and delivery programmes.
• Act as client liaison and bid proposals.
