Job summary

Dalcour Maclaren is seeking a Chartered Planner to deliver environmental planning services, coordinating feasibility studies, screening, scoping and planning applications across UK projects. You will prepare supporting statements and technical reports, ensuring outputs meet client, regulatory and project requirements.

You will liaise with client teams and Local Authority officers, contribute to infrastructure consent strategies, support business development, and advance your RTPI accreditation

Qualifications

• Hold a planning degree and be working towards or have RTPI accreditation.
• Good understanding of UK planning legislation and environmental policy.
• Proven ability to produce clear, concise reports and planning statements.
• Experience coordinating surveys and technical inputs with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental planning services including feasibility, screening, and scoping.
• Prepare planning applications, supporting statements and technical reports.
• Support infrastructure projects across utilities and infrastructure sectors.
• Engage with client teams, technical specialists and Local Authority officers.
• Assist business development, fee proposals and cross-selling DM services.
• Maintain technical knowledge and pursue RTPI accreditation if needed.
• Contribute to team culture and align with DM values.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
