Job description

AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division has an opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office, working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.

This role offers excellent prospects for an individual with a strong ambition to progress, who enjoys working collaboratively within a vibrant team, and has experience in managing client relationships and handling legal and technical issues.

This position is ideal for a Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing and providing a range of building surveying and project management duties across various projects and sectors.
2. Supporting the development of new and repeat business.
3. Managing client relationships and ensuring service delivery per project.
4. Applying standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
5. Keeping informed of industry developments and best practices.
6. Experience in sectors such as education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects is preferred.
7. Conducting defect analysis, building surveys, and producing reports and specifications.
8. Understanding principles of quality, safety, and environmental management in projects.

Additional Involvement:

• Supporting senior managers with daily business operations.
• Project management and contract administration.
• Performing due diligence and condition surveys.
• Designing and implementing projects.
• Providing professional services, including Party Wall matters.

Requirements:

• Full member of RICS or equivalent qualification.
• Proven all-round surveying experience.
• Strong team working and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior colleagues to build profitable and high-performing teams.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous.
• Knowledge of BIM systems.
• Experience mentoring APC graduates.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
