Job summary

Wessex Children's Hospice Trust is seeking a full-time Shop Manager for Chineham. The role leads a busy charity shop, guiding staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and strong store performance.

35 hours per week, 9:00am–5:00pm, with some weekend work, in a welcoming retail environment. You will drive merchandising, stock control and community engagement while upholding health and safety and financial controls.

Qualifications

• An experienced retailer with supervisory or management experience.
• A confident leader who enjoys motivating and developing others.
• Passionate about delivering first-class customer service.
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
• Comfortable managing stock, sales and shop operations.
• A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic about supporting the work of Naomi and Jack's.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of our busy charity shop.
• Inspiring, supporting and developing a team of staff and volunteers.
• Creating an attractive and welcoming shopping environment.
• Maximising sales and profit through merchandising and stock management.
• Building relationships within the local community.
• Managing shop administration, financial controls and banking procedures.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance.
