Job summary

Prospect Hospice is launching a Watchfield shop and seeks an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead from day one, building a welcoming community hub while generating income for hospice care.

You’ll recruit and develop volunteers and an Assistant Store Manager, drive sales, cash handling, and Gift Aid income, and create an attractive, compliant store that strengthens ties with the local community. 37.5 hours, weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience.
• Experience leading volunteers.
• Strong customer focus and sales ability.
• Willingness to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Drive sales, profitability and Gift Aid income.
• Recruit, develop and support volunteers and the Assistant Store Manager.
• Create an attractive, well-merchandised shopping environment.
• Manage stock, cash handling and store compliance.
• Build strong relationships within the local community to encourage donations and support.
