Job description

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Charge Nurse to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Arnold, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This hospital provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the area's healthcare trust. They have a medium secure service on site for patients with a learning disability, and are looking to develop other service types in the future.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the ward manager to ensure compliance with audit requirements and lead the implementation of recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and professional standards.
• Act as clinical supervisor and ensure all staff participate in clinical supervision.
• Monitor, evaluate, and ensure effective use of resources within set budgets.
• Operate effectively as a team member.
• Act as mentor/preceptor and ensure the development of student nurses and other team members.
• Assess staff nurses within the competency development programme.

Salary and Benefits

The successful Charge Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £41,475 - £44,648 per annum DOE. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. Benefits include:

• Sign-on bonus of £5,000, which can be received as a bonus or an e-voucher for various items including shopping discounts, days out, gym memberships, etc.
• Back pay for any salary increases while awaiting PIN registration.
• Relocation support, including payment for accommodation or moving costs, paid as a lump sum.
• Moving expenses: up to £2,000 for moves less than 100 miles, up to £4,000 for more than 100 miles (repaid if the individual leaves before completing probation).
