Job description

We are looking for a motivated Band 6 to join the ED team.

Are you an adult Registered Nurse with significant ED experience? Do you enjoy a challenging environment where no two days are the same? We are seeking an experienced nurse with emergency department experience.

Access to education via NTU modules is supported, and we offer many opportunities for self-development and progression within the role. We are looking for someone eager to learn and inspire others.

Please note: this role involves full internal rotation, consisting of long shifts from 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30, covering 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the Band 7 team to maintain high standards and quality of care and environment.
2. Being an effective leader and role model, providing regular direct clinical care, and supporting clinical and non-clinical governance.

4. Supporting junior staff and new staff in the emergency department.
5. Ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care, and collaborating with the ED charge nurse team to address issues affecting care quality.
6. Improving and maintaining standards of essential nursing care using tools like clinical benchmarking.
