Position Details
  • Title: Channel Development Manager
  • Reporting To: Head of Channel
  • Location: UK (Remote/Flexible) with regular travel and occasional visits to York
  • Salary: £34,000-£40,000
  • Car Allowance: £3,500
  • Holidays: 23 days plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service
  • Pension: 4%, increasing with service
  • Benefits: Group Life Insurance (2x salary), company-paid wellbeing schemes such as Denplan and Simplyhealth

Our client is a leading telecoms provider specializing in Mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) innovations. They aim to help businesses thrive with advanced connectivity solutions that boost operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and open new revenue streams. As they expand, they seek a motivated and experienced Channel Development Manager to join their team.

Role Overview

This role involves driving growth in Mobile and IoT offerings by expanding and developing a network of channel partners. The main goal is to increase revenue and market share through strategic, long-term partnerships. You will work closely with partners to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that create mutual value.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Build relationships with channel partners, identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and collaborate on joint business plans.
  2. New Partner Acquisition: Identify, onboard, and develop strategies for new channel partners to grow market presence.
  3. Account Management: Serve as the main contact for partners, ensuring satisfaction and support, and sharing market feedback.
  4. Channel Strategy & Growth: Support strategy development, stay informed on industry trends, and collaborate with internal teams.
  5. Reporting & Insights: Provide performance reports, use data to refine strategies, and track KPIs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in channel sales or partner development within telecoms or technology, especially Mobile and IoT.
  • Ability to grow existing relationships and develop new business.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, results-oriented, with good time management.
  • Experience with channel strategy development and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with IoT connectivity, mobile SIMs, and tariffs.
  • Familiarity with CRM and partner tools.
  • Knowledge of UK telecom regulations and market landscape.
