Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Consultant in CIO & Change Risk Management to deliver risk and control services across technology and change portfolios. You’ll develop data-led risk insights to drive proactive action and informed decisions, enabling better customer outcomes.

You’ll work with CIO teams to understand and improve risk controls, engaging across Platform Managers, Engineers, Architects, IT Service Managers and Programme Managers, while navigating a hybrid UK working model.

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding in risk management related to Technology, Information Security and Transformation.
• Demonstrable experience in risk management, controls assessment and risk reporting in complex environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative.
• Analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Ability to network and collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to work towards an industry recognised professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support targeted risk and control assessments over technology and change activity.
• Analyse incidents and loss events to identify root causes and improvements.
• Provide subject matter expertise and actionable insight to CIOs and technology leaders.
• Engage with Platform Managers, Engineers, Architects, IT Service Managers, Product Owners and Programme Managers.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Policy landscape.
