Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Change Coordinator to oversee the product change management process for vehicle parts and associated production changes. You will ensure changes in development and in series production are the best-balanced solution to improving quality, protecting production plans, delivery time and cost.

You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, run change control meetings, and generate KPI reports to track progress and drive on-time delivery of vehicle programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Product Change Management/Change Control.
  • Degree of technical/analytical nature or change control experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the change control process for vehicle projects in development to ensure successful launches.
  • Liaise with departments across the business to progress vehicle project changes and block changes.
  • Facilitate change management meetings and drive completion of actions from stakeholders.
  • Generate progress status reports and KPI dashboards for management.

Job description

This role is required to coordinate the McLaren Automotive change process, which is applicable on changes to vehicle parts and the associated production processes. The core objective of the role is to manage and implement changes to vehicles in development and in series production that are the best-balanced solution to improving quality, protecting production plans, delivery time and the cost of McLaren Automotive products.

What You'll Do
  • Implement engineering change to the product in line with the PCM processes to ensure accurate and appropriate change to McLaren Automotive products
  • Liaise closely with all departments across the business involved in the product change management process to progress changes for the vehicle project and block changes
  • Facilitate the product change management meetings to drive completion of actions from change stakeholders
  • Generate progress status reports and communicate to the business effectively including preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's and investigate all deviations from agreed standards
  • Responsible for coordinating a change control process for vehicle projects in development to ensure successful vehicle launches
  • Responsible for coordination of activities required to deliver the McLaren Automotive Block change process to allow for controlled implementation of change to vehicles in series development
  • Conduct regular process and system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the product change management process as part of the process ownership
What You'll Bring
  • Experience of automotive production processes including vehicle manufacturing processes and supply planning (advantageous)
  • Experience of vehicle product development life cycles including prototype build phases (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and McLaren products advantageous (advantageous)
Essential Functional / Technical Skills
  • Experience in Product Change Management/ Change Control
  • Experience in Product Data and Bill of Material ManagementDegree of technical/analytical nature required or specific change control experience
  • Experience of using SAP advantageous
  • Experience of indirect stakeholder and workflow coordination
  • IT skills (MS Office)
