• Experience coordinating governance activities and preparing papers for boards and committees.
• Proven ability to manage reporting, resourcing, budgets and information flows.
• Track record of improving processes and ensuring compliance across complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Support report submissions including resourcing and budget submissions with finance/HR.
• Prepare and collate Board and committee papers, and draft covering papers when needed.
• Maintain information related to the service such as organisational structures and business continuity.
• Lead broader departmental support, including internal communications management.
• Manage the departmental training matrix and coordinate training needs with SLT.

Job description

Transformation in Police Scotland is responsible for designing, governing and delivering the organisational changes, technology improvements and business modernisation needed to achieve Vision 2030 and create a safer, more effective and sustainable police service.

Working at the heart of the Transformation Senior Leadership Team, you will provide governance, business management and operational support to senior leaders and change teams. By coordinating resourcing, committees, communications, reporting, records management and continuous improvement activities, you will help ensure the effective delivery of transformational priorities across the organisation.

In this influential role, you'll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, coordinating high-profile governance activities, supporting strategic decision-making, and enabling transformational programmes that deliver real benefits for colleagues, communities and the service.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support report submissions including any resourcing and budget submissions whilst liaising directly with finance and HR
• Manage the preparation and collation of Board and committee papers, including drafting covering papers as necessary
• To maintain and update appropriate information in relation to the service such as
• organisational structures, business continuity, SCOPE information
• Lead on the wider departmental support, including management of internal department communications
• Responsible for maintaining the departmental training matrix, proactively collating training needs and working with the Senior Leadership team to approve, procure and organise training offerings
