An exciting opportunity for an autonomous nurse to lead a cervical screening service within mental health inpatient services. This is a fixed-term, part-time post for 12 months. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (pro-rata), with location negotiable. Salary is also pro-rata.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for an autonomous nurse to lead and deliver a cervical screening service within mental health inpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The role involves strategic and operational leadership of a health inequalities project, establishing and delivering cervical screening for a vulnerable population in mental health inpatient settings.
Post-graduate level education in nursing or equivalent professional qualification, with experience in cervical screening aligned with National Education for Scotland Standards. Evidence of current practice, trauma-informed care, multi-agency partnership working, and skills in quality improvement and change management are essential. Demonstrable leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills are also required.
