As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of care programmes to ensure high-quality patient care.
The post holder is expected to perform all relevant care tasks independently and may supervise registered and unregistered staff, including student nurses.
Responsibilities may vary depending on ward/department type and patient dependency levels.
After 2 years post-registration, additional duties include directing, coordinating, and supervising staff to promote best practices and providing cover in the absence of senior staff.
