This is a fixed-term, part-time post for 12 months.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (pro-rata), with location negotiable.

This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous nurse to lead and deliver a cervical screening service within mental health inpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
We seek a highly motivated nurse to drive the strategic and operational leadership of this health equity project, specifically establishing and delivering a cervical screening service within mental health inpatient settings. This new project aims to address health inequalities among a vulnerable population in this public health screening program.
The post will be based within Glasgow City HSCP Mental Health Inpatient Service. The post holder will collaborate with staff across Mental Health, Public Health, Primary, and Secondary Care, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies.
The post holder will independently develop and lead this new cervical screening (in-reach) service within mental health inpatient services, utilizing advanced clinical assessment, decision-making, and judgment to engage with patients and clinicians. Providing specialist advice and support to vulnerable patients regarding screening is essential.
Responsibilities include providing specialist education and training for healthcare professionals on cervical screening, and conducting audits or research to ensure evidence-based practice.
Candidates must have postgraduate-level education in nursing or an equivalent qualification, with relevant experience. Experience in delivering cervical screening aligned with National Education for Scotland Standards, trauma-informed care, multi-agency partnership working, and skills in quality improvement and change management are required. Leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills are vital for establishing this new role.
