Role summary
The CEO Office and Governance Assistant is a key role in creating a high-performance corporate team at CF, supporting the company to operate at its best and achieve business goals. The role reports to the Head of the CEO Office and has five core functions: managing the corporate calendar, overseeing company governance, organizing company events, supporting recognition and milestone celebrations, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
This role manages the full corporate calendar, planning meetings and events throughout the year, ensuring proper flow and preparation for shareholder committees, Board meetings, executive committees, and social activities. The assistant must communicate proactively and coordinate schedules effectively.
The role also involves supporting governance processes, including commissioning papers, organizing meetings, taking minutes, tracking actions, and preparing reports. Standardization and knowledge management are essential.
Event management responsibilities include planning and executing retreats, staff social events, the winter party, alumni events, and team dinners. This involves sourcing venues, managing logistics, and overseeing budgets to deliver value.
The assistant owns the recognition policy, planning celebrations for staff milestones, and working with the CEO to ensure timely acknowledgment through cards, gifts, and announcements. Forward planning and understanding colleagues' preferences are vital.
