Job summary

ABM UK at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon is looking for a Soft Services Manager to lead the on-site team and ensure safe, clean and well-maintained facilities.

You will manage security, cleaning, and support services, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and KPI targets, and work closely with the client and local authorities.

The role requires strong leadership, IOSH and SIA qualifications, and a hands-on approach to service delivery within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing high-volume facilities operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Strong budget and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the contract delivery in line with policies and procedures.
• Manage ABM colleagues including training, H&S, welfare.
• Ensure licences and vetting for security teams are in place and updated.
• Plan staff rosters, payroll and manning levels to meet budgets.
• Conduct daily centre audits to ensure cleanliness and safety.
