Job summary

Protyre Autocare, part of The Micheldever Group, is seeking a commercially minded Centre Manager to join our growing team. You will lead a depot, drive sales and train the team to peak performance while ensuring safe operation and stock integrity.

Ideal candidates have a proven Centre Manager track record in automotive services, a full UK driving licence, and strong customer conversion skills. A bonus scheme and funded IMI courses are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a full clean UK driving licence held for at least 6 months
• Demonstrable success in a centre/leadership role within automotive sales/service
• Strong sales orientation and customer conversion focus
• Technical or mechanical automotive knowledge
• Experience managing multiple priorities
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Solid understanding of car technology
• Experience of account management

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the team, drive sales and provide training as needed
• Maximise customer conversion by enforcing effective telephone techniques and callbacks
• Lead daily depot operations and ensure secure stock and assets
• Maintain stock control systems and prepare for audit
• Ensure equipment and machinery are serviced and maintained
• Ensure deliveries are stored and booked into stock on day of delivery

The Centre Manager will be responsible for delivering the company business objectives through effective management and co-ordination of the Centre.

Must have:

Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application)

Previous experience in a similar role.

About the role:

Managing and motivating the team, driving the teams’ sales and providing training to the team when necessary

Maximise the customer conversion rate by ensuring all team members utilise the company telephone technique and call-back procedures

Leading the operation and daily running of the depot

Maintain the security of the branch, its stock, assets, customer information, and takings.

Maintain accurate stock control systems and processes and make available for audit in accordance with company guidelines.

Ensure that equipment and machinery is maintained and serviced routinely to allow safe operation.

Ensure stock deliveries are stored and booked into stock on the day of delivery.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have proven success as a Centre Manager or Assistant Centre Manager within the Automotive industry.

Demonstrable success within a sales environment

Technical or Mechanical experience / Automotive knowledge

Experience of managing multiple priorities

Working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements

A good understanding of car technology

Experience of account management

A full UK Driving Licence
